Rebel Wilson Opens up About 75-Pound Weight Loss in New Photo: “It’s Never Too Late”

Rebel Wilson has already lost a staggering 75 pounds in her self-proclaimed “Year of Health”. Now she’s talking about the steps she took to become the “best version” of herself.

In a new Instagram post, the star of the upcoming film, Senior Year, reveals what helped her stay motivated when she hit rock bottom – and why “it’s never too late” to get well. Read on to learn how Wilson changed her body.

Although Wilson has been sharing snaps showing her slim figure recently, the actress just posted a picture of herself at her previous weight on Instagram.

“I remember being the most unhealthy back then – overweight and way too much junk food. Using food to numb my emotions. My father had died of a heart attack and it was such a sad time. I don’t think much of myself and don’t judge myself as I should have, “she captioned the photo from August 18, in which she was with the Tennis star posing Novak Djokovicwhom she calls “such a nice guy”.

“It’s interesting that I’m still smiling and still trying to be active … despite so much pain. I look back on this girl now and am so proud of what she has become and accomplished to everyone out there struggling with weight or body issues or emotional eating. I feel you. I know how it is. But it’s never too late to improve yourself and try to be the best version of YOU possible. “

While Wilson has used food as a means to self-medicate in the past, she admitted in a recent interview that she had recently found a new vice.

“I just bought a Yves Saint Laurent handbag after quitting The Almond and the Seahorse trying to be healthier and dealing with things that are no longer food,” she told InStyle.

Rather than trying to completely overhaul every aspect of her eating and exercise habits in one fell swoop, Wilson said that it was the small changes in her daily routine that actually made the biggest difference.

“What I’ve learned is that it’s really the little things I do every day that make a difference … Anyone can go for walks, drink more water, and do small, consistent things that make their lives better,” she said also InStyle.

Not only did it look better or feel more confident, which made Wilson lose weight. The actress revealed during an Instagram Live in May that a large part of her decision to lose weight was her desire to become a mother.

“I was thinking about fertility and quality eggs in the bank,” she explained. “I was like, ‘OK, I’ll do this. I’ll get well.'”
