Tammy and Amy Slaton have come a long way on their weight loss journeys with 1000 pound sisters. When the TV show started, the two were about 1,000 pounds total, hence the name. During two seasons, Amy lost a significant amount of weight while Tammy staggered. Will the two of them still be healthy if they are not on our television screens?

How much weight did Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton lose on 1000-lb Sisters?
When Amy and Tammy first started their travels, Amy weighed about 400 pounds and Tammy weighed about 600 pounds. Determined to get better, Amy began to get more active and pay attention to what she was eating. In the end, she lost enough weight to have weight loss surgery. But then Amy got pregnant with her son Gage and stopped losing weight. After giving birth, she focused on her health again and dropped to 270 pounds, according to SoapDirt.
Tammy, on the other hand, ended season two at 665 pounds, which means she had gained weight.
“I just didn’t do what I had to do. I mean, sometimes I try to eat healthier and other days I think, ‘What the hell is it?’ ”She told her doctor at the last weigh-in.
Despite the weight gain, Tammy’s doctor was optimistic.
“You could have blamed it [that] You couldn’t get out of bed, you could have blamed you for having COVID and you could have blamed you for being in the hospital and you didn’t, ”he said. “And believe it or not, that’s a step forward from what you were in the past. So you have just made progress, even though your weight has gained. “
Are Tammy and Amy still losing weight?
Tammy and Amy do not actively inform their fans of their weight loss during the off-season. Amy has posted a few pictures of her and her baby since the end of season two. There has been no drastic change in the pictures from their appearance at the end of the season.
Tammy has been on TikTok for a while and would let fans know how she is doing, but her TikTok has recently been closed. Since then, Tammy has only uploaded close-ups to Instagram. Tammy and Amy may have some sort of contract preventing them from sharing health updates before the new season hits, but this has not been confirmed or denied.
‘1000 Pound Sisters’ Season 3
The Slaton sisters will be back for the third season of 1000 pound sisters and fans will be able to continue following their health journeys. However, a few months will pass before the program is broadcast.
“Season 3 won’t come out until next year,” Tammy previously said in a TikTok. “It takes a year to film because we have to find locations.
“You have to find places to film for everything we do,” she continued. “Let’s say we went to a grocery store. We may need to find a grocery store owned like a person rather than a sister store or franchise like Walmart. So like it and they need to edit after all of the filming is done. So it will take a while. I’m sorry and people keep asking about Hulu, I don’t know. I do not know anything. I mean, it is what it is. “
